50% recycled, 50% bio-based: McDonald’s tests new plastic cups

McDonald’s is testing clear plastic cups made from PCR and bio-based materials in select U.S. restaurants. According to the company, the new cups are recyclable and externally indistinguishable from previous cups. The fast-food company’s new project is an interesting approach to the circular economy.
